??? because it's like the dust in a bull wallow. They like to make holes or depressions in the dirt where they roll and wallow and go back to the same spots over and over and the dust gets deeper and deeper. American bison do the same thing.

It's because Bulls like to shit in holes and dirt roads have big potholes. It is a well known fact* that Bull Shit turns to dust when it's dry, hence the bulldust.

*I read it on the internet so it MUST be true.
