New V-Strom owner, screen question
I want a sportier screen on my 05 V-Strom. Lower and more sloped backward, I want clean air flow on the helmet. Post your tips/pictures in this thread those who have done this.
Only mod so far is a Renthal Fatbar, I also have raised the forks 15mm (just done so haven't tried it yet). Future mods include stiffer fork springs and a cartridge upgrade. I had a R12GS before this, I like the V-Strom better mainly because the engine/gearbox/transmission. But it will take some tweaking on the suspension to make it handle as good as the GS on twisty tarmac roads, and the brakes on the GS is hard to beat. |

I'm thinking of something like this (posted by "Gustavo"). But can it be done on a newer Strom? Can I mount a screen for an early Strom if I remove the screen mount on mine?

You might try http://www.stromtrooper.com/forum/, and http://11109.rapidforum.com/
Both are V Strom specific forums.

MP Cycle shorty shield.
![]() Pricey, but it was the first thing I came across that looked like it would do what I wanted it to do.

Nice. Is that the 11.5" version? I saw on their homepage that they ship to Europe also. How does it compare to the stock screen?
