2 Stroke Dual Sport

Anyone got a 2-stroke dual-sport? Here is my KTM300EXC on highway 103 toward Echo Lake in Colorado a while back.

I like your bike.
I've had 2 strokes. Dirt and street. Is your bike geared high enough for hwy speeds?
Does it do that ring ding ding thing that my H2 used to do?

GasGas

I have a GasGas 200EC with blinkers, hi/lo headlight, tail/brake light (yes, works off both brakes), horn, mirror, speedo, side reflectors (stick on) AND a battery to keep the lights on for X minutes after the engine is out.

BUT, it is a street legal dirtbike, not a dualsport. Though it might be said to have been "dualsported".

It had 15/38 gearing...good enough for about 85...yes ring ding and no engine braking. Nearly dragging the pegs through turns in 40 degree weather. This ride I went up 103 to Echo Lake, down to Idaho Springs, Oh my God Road to Central City, over to the top of Golden Gate Canyon, af ew back roads that ended in complete snow cover and back home...a good ride.

Not so much a dual sport as a street legal dirtbike. Still a lot of fun though!!

I like your bike a lot. I think my next dirtbike is going to be the 250XC.

Always wanted to take a KX or CR 500 and do a street legal version with a huge fuel tank and geared high.

Looks like a great bike, thank you for sharing.

Needs a little more power, eh?

My 300EXC is plated. She has awful road manners, but connects trails nicely.

I'm surprised you're running such street-oriented tires! It'd be a hoot in the canyons, for sure!!

Yamaha used to build a little Dual Sport with the TZR250 engine in it. Very few in the States, but popular elsewhere. Anybody know much about it?

I have a spare set of wheels with a cush drive. Currently my EXC is knobbied. I have also supermoto'd the 300 EXC with a set of old Pirelli MT70's, it slid real predictable and was also a good ride.
