The stock SE "screen" (or lack thereof) is remarkably quiet, although the wind force can be fatiguing, hence I'm considering a screen....

Thanks.
Wish I could tell you that I knew the difference. When I purchased the bike, it already had the 690 windscreen installed. Seems to move most of the wind off your chest, so that's a good thing. But it does make for a bit of noise on the helmet. I have custom earplugs, so not a big deal. However, if you stand up on the bike, even at 80+ mph, it's whisper quiet.

Hasn't been an issue yet, though I do think this tank would be an excellent candidate for a mild sandpaper and repaint. The factory surface quality of the Safari tank is appalling.

690 screen

I put one on mine before I got a raiddesigns fairing.
Think of it as if adding about 10 miles/hr on top speed comfort on a headwind and 20miles/hr on a tailwind or no wind, compared to stock.

Beautiful machine. If you did all the work yourself, congrats. If you didn't, excellent find!

I often tell friends my 950SE has a multiple personality disorder. It thinks it's a sport bike in the twisties, a dirt bike in the junk, and a touring bike on the tarmac. I can't imagine how ludicrous yours must be on pavement.

Yes it' an SE.
He's guy on the italian KTM forum and he made everything by himself, paint job and stickers included.
AFAIK he used SMT tank and seat, ADV headlight and fender and a "a bit" of skill. Awesome

Action shot? I see a lot of pics taken in garages or a few miles from home.

Here's some action.
