I entered my first Super moto race this weekend. Held at the county fairgrounds, it was much more open than a typical sumo track, with plenty of spots to open the big twin up. The problem quickly became overwhelming the brakes. During practice I managed to boil the rear brake and turn the rotor blue
.It was a two hour endurance race for charity. Our team had four guys--Only one of us had any experience road racing, On a GSXR1000  . The other three guys ran a 520exc with a sumo wheelset, except the last session when the 520 blew the kickstarter seal and started gushing oil-- Our closer got to finish up on the 950.We managed a Very respectable 23rd out of 49. The 950's lap times were within a second of the 520's.
