Thanks for the info, I have a 690 enduro screen lying around and will mount it on my SE then. I did not want to drill the holes if there was no real difference at higher speeds.

Rather big difference. At 70mph I cant hear my comms without a screen. With it, I can sort of hear it at a 100.

A couple from the library

Home from the CDR - seems like there were more miles getting there and back than on

Somewhere up the Haul Road - where's a speed camera when you need one

Moto "Hooligan" bike - one of my favorites

posted it elsewhere but thought it might belong here... with the cold temps and ice storm we had a few weeks ago it was high time to go play on the 950 in the snow/ice/slush. Plus I wanted to make sure my Minion would stay put.. :)

Yup, horrid eh. The really annoying thing is at high speeds the drag of whatever screen you are using causes the whole thing to wobble around.

Like TMKiwi I used two brackets from the bars to the screen to give some strength, but it was ugly as hell. Still looking for a better solution.
One nice solution would be to use a cowling from a 990SM as they are rock solid. But that is ££££ :(

Also want to figure out a better GPS mount, above the clocks. This too needs the cowling strengthened somehow...?

Maybe a bracket mounted to the fork legs that curves up around the top edge of the cowling?...

Fuel

I am from wa state. Met up with some az locals for a 3 day ride in az and nm. Never more than 75 miles from gas. Since that pic was taken I have added backing plates for the pannier racks and can now carry 2 gallons extra via rotopax.
