A show Stopper In Peru

... not the snow but some large mofo rocks that had come down and I couldn't move em, bit of a back track required and the weather started caving in so we hightailed out.

This was at 4780 meters (15682 ft) and snow chasing us down

not available any more, but it's the Pirelli MT44/LagunaCross tire from the past. It was a good mud/sand tire, made in a 120/100-18 size. I had one around and since I wasn't going to be riding much street and had a Jimmy Lewis class a few weeks ago with a dozen LC8 riders, I spooned it on. It worked great in the mud and off road, and it's held up decently, but definitely won't last on the street for very long or if you aren't very careful with the throttle. I ran a pirelli MT16 rear (120/100-18) for a local hare scramble race last year, worked great, but lasted about 30 minutes on pavement before starting to shed knobs. lol. I usually run standard Pirelli off road front tires (they are all DOT legal- the Scorpion Pro and MXMH front) and have been very happy with the performance off road (and surprised with the on road performance).

Yes they do but there was an even bigger show stopper just passed the bluff about another 80 meters on, this would involve a digger (which we didn't have either) as they were piled up right across the track and half as big again so for that distance we didn't bother.

Cheers for the props on the pic too
