I have posted this before, but I was the third owner of mine. And it had 1001 miles on it when I bought it.

It does get dirty, but it cleans up nicely.

I'll get her dirty soon enough. My friend dropped it off at my house and we immediately took our 990's down to sierra vista for a couple days if dual sporting. It was awesome btw.

Anyway, rest assured, this thing will get USED!

Suspension gurus. Maybe i can get some help. My se goes into a tank slap on rough gravel and sand if i suddenly close the throttle.

Running a safari tank. Just serviced the forks and it seems to just started this habbit since it came back.

Went for a ride with Jaime and Martyn on a local Santiago track.

Today was the last day of the Heidenau, this one has 22000 km on it, the sharp rocks punished it

Got my money worth now

Spot the patch of chords

Took three hours from a good tire to a shredded mess ... it was Martyns and Jaimes fault

OK, so, this shit began as a paranoia, just for laugh

step 1:
You should need a mate as asshole as this one

Of course we´re are just interested in the tank, get rid of the rest of the bike
step 2:
You´d need some patience and a clear mind to change your bike´s look to this

the tank is taller and placed forward, the seat is narrower and allows embracing the bike with your knees more comfortably and securely.

but above all, has a capacity of 4 liters more, necessary for long trips.

both tanks

as it fits around the frame

and running....

ok, there are two things to get worried about

first one is to place a hand made cover in the hole where the fuel pump goes (injected model) in the SMT tank

second one is the need to manufacture a new pair of clamps between some frame tubes on both sides of the tank, the original holes are located behind and above.

third, just find a new place for fuel pump and horn, that´s no difficult at all.

all this is possible because the width of the chassis and radiator are exactly the same, so does the distance from the front clamping screw of the SE tank to the seat lock.

You can never have too many. Besides, they don't really lose their value, it seems.
