Video - 950SE in desert

Video, not photos ...
3 bikes doing a desrt ride near Dubai, 950 SE, KTM 640 Adv, Honda XR650R.
Mostly soft sand washes, plus some faster gravel road.

The 950 SE is the guy in light pants, dark T-shirt (not ATGATT). The 640 is the guy all in orange.
The 950 was way out in front a lot of the time, so there's less video of him. Mostly I stayed with the 640.
I was impressed with how the 950 handled in the sand for such a big bike. The guy rode it like he's ride a 450. But as they say, it's the rider not the bike...

Well, in the case of the 950 SuperEnduro, it IS the bike! I'm pretty new to dirt bike riding (last 5 years) but find that lots of the stuff, especially the sand, is pretty intuitive on this bike, because of the low end torque, balance, and suspension.

Just did parts of the Pine Barrens 500 in NJ this weekend, and because of a dry spell, some of the sand was pretty "beachy". Pure pleasure on this bike.

Especially good at low speeds in the deep stuff. Goes like a tractor! And I do have a KTM 520 EXC to compare with. The SE is easier to handle in the open sand, unless, of course, you drop it!

SWMototech quick release bag mounts and the same bags I run my KR. 5 Gallon fuel cell mounted to CJracer rack. SAS, cannisterectomy and waiting on Leo Vince exhaust.

Needles raised one notch, IMS set to 1.5 front and 1.75 rear, Wolfman Lite tank bag and sitting on the lift with her heart ripped out waiting for the exhaust. Then she goes back together to have some more fun.

My 950 SE Break-in Ride

Somewhere on the slick rock trail in Moab. I flew into OK for Endurocross, picked up my SE in Oklahoma City. Didn't pack gear so I had to borrow what I could. The boots were soaking wet from about 5 Endurocross races (but they won the 4-stroke class main event during the day but not with me in them). Great Break-in ride. The Helmet was the crusty thing I have ever put on my head. It was worth it.

Can't show your bike because of the way you attached the image, but I'd say that an important modification you missed is to loosen that chain of yours. Way too tight for the amount of travel you have in the rear suspension! Dirt bikes with long travel suspensions need looser chains!
