Melting Side Panel

My side panel is melting all over the muffler. When riding and squeezing with my knees, it pushes the panel right against the hot muffler. Do the aftermarket mufflers (without cat) stay cool enough to keep the from happening? Anyone have a heat shield option?

My Loe Vince x3 is much cooler than the stock can w/ cat. You can touch it.

I have 2 supersprox sprockets and I have to tap them on with a hammer.

I Have an 08' with ProTaper Evo (cr high) bars. 2mm rise due to damper mount + 1.25" risers from BRP )make it impossible to have the handlebars the way I want them. At the moment they are in the forward position. As I pull them back it seems like almost all the cables lack length. Even with the most forward positioned bars I had to route my clutch cable on the outside of the tank. (will have to get an extended clutch cable)

Installed the LV x3 when got the bike and never did it melt anything.

Also Have used a ballistic 8 cell battery for 10 months now (did not ride 3 months during winter, never started it, never put a charging unit) and it started right away easily. I do a lot of singletrack and rough terrain.

Where did you find a front supersprox for the 610?

Dirtbagz includes a nice heat shield when you buy their rack/bags, might see if they will sell you a heat shield?

Have you tried their website?

Just purchased a 13/48 set, installed the 13 with previously bought 46 and so far its hitting the spot for me. Cant figure out an easy way to add an extra link to my did chain so i can fit the 48. I bought extra links but i figured i cant just connect 2 master links cause of the clips they use.

I believe autozone sells these sticky heatshield sheets that you can cut to your liking. You can order online some nice mishimoto heatshield rolls or just simple, cheap generic brand that will do exactly the same thing.

Can you post links to amazon and such on here?

Thanks, I'll take a look at riser options and different handlebar dimensions, I need to bring these stock bars up a bit, for standing...

Cry Stolen 610

My 2008 Husky 610 was stolen last friday in Denver. Just in case it's actually gets parted out or shipped out of state (or you live in the area) I figure I'd mention it here.

Here's the base info.
2008 Husqvarna TE610, plate ‪#‎139UMD‬, VIN# ZKHEAEKP58V301238
Many many identifiable parts. Custom seat - white top w/ red/black sides. Highway Dirtbike barkbusters and gauge cluster protection, Unpaved Aggression swing arm sticker, Saftey third sticker on the fly screen., RED 7602 Racing radiator guards and oil filter cover, Uptite husqvarna bash plate, silencer and oil plug, Buell Headlights, Dirtbagz racks and maybe still has dirtbagz on it, ProMoto billet rear rack, LED strip tail lights with integrated signals, quick release fuel taps, front and rear grab straps front lettered "unicorns" rear lettered "took my car", Saftey third sticker on the fly screen.

Older picture that shows the basics.

How can it be fun if there's not at least an outside chance of dying?

Is it okay to use Spectro 20w50 synthetic oil?
As long as I use a synthetic right?

Just a quick response about "oil" would be helpful...

=

I've used it since the first oilchange. 10,000+ trouble free miles and timing chain on 7 clicks.

If it the clutch cable that's too short, get the motion pro 2" longer one. I've got 2" rox risers and it works fine. 2" is great for standing ( I'm 6'1" with long arms )

Edit: I also have cr high bend
