I'll try to put it on today. I work swing shift and I've been up early the last tow days, it caught up to me today and I had to sleep.

I don't think the sound will change at all since there isn't anything in the stock end cap aside from some steel wool. Pro moto does sell a quiet core tip to fit this end plate and I'm probably going to install one...this thing is waaay loud.

This is near the top of Black Gulch by the Kern River. I wiped out 5 times going up this mountain and can say with confidence that these bikes take a good beating and keep on going.

Nice shot. I agree about the beatings. When I bought mine I thought (and still think) it was so pretty that I dreaded dropping it. Since then I've more than dropped it, I've pitched it off steep uphills, and even tossed it upside-down into a stonewall at a respectable clip. I'm just fascinated there isn't more sign of trauma.

Oh, and I have to ask, is that the Arai XD helmet? What do you think of it? Is it hot with the shield closed during off road work? I like the concept of that helmet. Thanks.

Black Gulch, heck, I'm most impressed that you made it from Riverside to Kernville with that seat and "wind protection".

Are you running stock 15:45 gearing?

I'd have to agree ...

Rode my TE610 thru some of the worst at WARPED 3 including Cannell Meadow. Worked as advertised! Long wheelbase and short turn radius didn't help on the switchbacks tho' ...

Great all rounder

The Pastrana bars have about 1" less sweep than stock.

Well, I finished the pipe. It wasn't looking good for a little while there, but I got it buttoned up and it doesn't look all that bad. Scuffing up a $130 part makes you cringe, but this isn't a show-n-shine bike anyways.

I started putting on the new tank. Decided to run some wiring up front for grip heaters and a quick connect for the gps. Then figured I'd de-smog it too. Until I realized that I have no idea as to how/what all these lines do. A little complex for a KLR owner.

I imagine the de-smog is in the index thread....off to look.

I found it. I wouldn't have gotten very far with all the vacuum caps I was pushing on.

Nice work on the index thread, Dan.

Is that motor sucking up RedBull to hyperize itself? I'm gonna try that on my DR.

Question air cleaner mods ?

Has anyone thought about an air cleaner mod that would get it to breathe from higher up the filter? Seems this would prevent some of the swamping issues in water. For that matter, couldn't a guy just tape over some of the openings just to get across?

T.E.C. INSERT
I had to modify one of the inserts that came with the LeoVince to sandwich it in, It works
But it still is not what I call quiet. It has a good sound and it is better than the LeoVince quiet insert.

I did Zach's Route that has many crossing and nearly dumped the bike again...I hope someone can figure out how to modify the airbox. I am going to do something at some point as Kentucky has many streams and I like riding in the Rainy season best...

First time I rode with Zach, first near drowning

This past weekend a large surfaced rock covered in slime prevented my solid dab and nearly tossed me

Why no cush drive on the 610?? Seems like a lot of folks worry about the lack of a cush hub when they convert a dirt bike to dual sport. How do we get away without one on the 610??
