Rainbow Springs / Shooting Creek To Hayesville, NC Speed Trap

Watch your speed as you crest the long hills on Hwy 64 coming from Rainbow Springs going west toward Hayesville, NC. A certain NC. highway patrolman sits in an excellent spot between Shooting Creek and Burnt School House RD. Very easy to go over 55 after coming up the long steep hills from Rainbow.

Been through there many times before but this time (in the cage) just wasn't paying close enough attention to my speed. 72 in a 55 and the officer wasn't about to make it a warning or even reduce the ticket. Found out later from the manager of the hotel we were staying at that i was the second one staying there that got an award that afternoon !

Not ranting or whining, just hope this helps save others some $$$ and points.
