I'll PM you guys my cell, or you can just ask for "Chief" or "Thorn" when you get there. Thanks for the support!!
Putting together some clothes and stuff to bring up later today.

ifixfords and GER, Looks like we'll be working sections and riding Trials at A53 tomorrow if either of you're interested.

Many thanks to Tarheel Wheeler and GreyEagleRider for coming out to support Sophia's Haven of Hope today despite the rain! We were able to gather some much needed clothing and electronic items for the two houses. We really appreciate the support and SFW4 and I look forward to exploring A53 and some dirt track time with you guys! Invite is still open, we'll be over at Chief's place this evening for more BBQ and some cold ones.

TW, thanks for the invitation. Would really like to help out and ride but unfortunately I will be unable to break away today. Please keep me in the loop for the next opportunity to help with sections and ride.

Dirigo, great to meet you and always willing to help out a worthy cause like that one. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, looks like everyone was having a great time.

Thanks GER. The band transitioned from Blue Grass to some classic rock, pretty talented folks there. Seems like everyone had a good time. There was so much left over BBQ that the veterans' at the shelters will be eating it for the next couple of days, lol!

Rick's RDV 2014 to TAT

The dates and location for next years RDV has been announced. It will be May 15-18. I plan to attend this event as I had a blast this year.

The reason I am posting this is that I plan to head over to Tellico after leaving the RDV and begining the eastern section of the TAT. I will start the ride on Monday the 19th and hope to get as far as Colorado within the 3 week time frame I will be able to take off from work. I have a few friends in Colorado and will leave the bike there and fly home. I will need to be back no later then June 8th. It may not take that long to reach the Denver area, so that is worst case.

If anyone would like to join me, I'd welcome the company. If not, I will make the trip solo. I will be doing this on a fairly well modded DR650.

That's a great run. Did an out and back a few years ago with Truckin Thumper. Watch that Arkansas mud!

300 Mile Days?

Hey TW,
How many of those 300 mile days you and TT used to ride are still accessable? May be a good time to dust off the A51 stickers. I'm going to prod Chief into getting that beemer of his off road here!

Very easy to make a 300 mile day on the stuff we used to ride. We can drink a beer or twelve here at A53 and throw it on Google Earth one evening.

wparkinson might still have some of the gps tracks. I'll look around and see if I still have some.

ifixfords....WELL?

Anybody interested in attending a 2 day Ryan Young Trials Clinic this fall? I'm getting some pressure from an unnamed inmate to host one here at A53.

Missed tons of trials section building and riding up here at A53. Have 7 sections finished. Got another 3 started. Started working on the lighted winter trials riding stadium section the other night.

Was buying a bike for you (Tac-T) at the last event, but the guy sold it before I could finish the last loop. 06 Gas Gas 280 TXT Pro with trailer for $2500. Bike was pristine. He was selling due to a knee replacement.

Picked up the Beta last Saturday. Rode the creek bed across from my house Sunday for a couple hours. After I got the idle adjusted we got along pretty good. Need to work on lots of stuff and even though I tweaked my lower back, still had a blast. Got the back better. I'll ride it a little tomorrow.

Count me in for the Ryan Young class, that would be awesome.

Got single track plans with the ktm on Sunday. Just put the Rekluse back in it and installed a fresh rear S12.

If you all are riding at your place next week, I'll do my best to get down there, help with trails and ride.
