Dick. Maybe I should have been more specific. In the Fayetteville area. I was throwing a Hail Mary in case someone knew a place that closed late or opened early. Darn women making plans when I have motorcycle work to do! I've been up since 5am working on bikes now.

Not really. I was home for 10 days, and now I'm in school in Augusta until mid August. I just drove up for the weekend to swap the Jeep for the Bonnie.

But when I went to take the wheel off the sidecar just now, the castellated nut was finger tight. Melissa swore she used the torque wrench when she swapped to the spare while I was gone. Upon further inspection, the stud is stripped. New parts are en route and operation tire change is over. Looks like I'm riding the Husky to Augusta tomorrow.

Got it. I know how short trips home go but I missed your going away so if you want to fall into a beer later let me know.

Looks like I will be making a trip to the Asheville area on Wed. Anyone need anything transported to or from or along the way? If all goes well will have a bike on the return trip.

I stayed out at Kenny's place about a month ago. If you haven't already seen his DR in person, its super clean. Congrats on it!

Hi folks. I'm thinking about riding up to the mountains this weekend. I'll probably camp. I practiced crashing my new(to me) DR 650 last weekend at Uwharrie and it was great—the crashing, not the camping; the camping was too hot which is why I thought the mountains might be better. I have nada for a route planned, so if anyone wanted to meet up and show me some good dualsport rides that'd be great. I was thinking maybe I'd take back roads up to hanging rock? I know there to be some fun paved roads up there.

Edit: I'm in Chapel Hill/Raleigh

Ray, I might have to take you up on this. I've got a set of fork guards at Eurosport in Asheville. I just got the email saying they arrived. I thought they were supposed to ship them to me, but the invoice didn't say anything about shipping. I'm getting clarification shortly.

If they aren't shipping them, think you could snag them? Looks like I'll be seeing you on the 3rd anyway.

Next CVOTC event is 11 Aug in Danville, VA. The 2 Danville events are the toughest of the year. Should be fun.

May have something for ya soon...MTF!

We ride here most every weekend and usually every Weds evening.
