We have a pretty good group of moto-trials riders forming up here in the area. Got 2 Trials clubs in NC...Metrolina Trails Riders and Carolina Virginia Observed Trails Club. You should check an event out sometime.

Lots and lots of off road riders around.
Just got my two trail bikes stolen.. pretty much stuck with motards for awhile until i can afford another bike.

Talking Yay, Motosickles & the people that like them

Last Sunday I was riding the Enfield aimlessly around the "hood", when I was flagged down by a new resident in the back side of the area that on an earlier bicycle ride I noted had a nice stable of motorcycles in his garage. We chatted a bit abut his rides, and then went an looked at the Enfield...Sure, you can ride it. Well, he was hooked. We chatted a bit more and decided that a swap was about the easiest way to make something happen. So I left the RE with him, and headed home on...

So, I spent all week reading up on the Sherpa. I filled note books with mods, jetting, tweaks and ideas. Read the hundreds of post here and elsewhere on these fun little mules. Saturday (today), I headed out to the garage with huge ideas and a bigger list of things to do. And then I looked at the diminutive little beast and thought: "I oughtta just ride the sumbitch." People smarter than I had designed it. Time to ride. I dug out my colder weather gear, bolted on a 'universal' rear view mirror that gave me an awesome look at my shoulder, and let it warm (and warm, and warm...) up while I got ready. I was going outlaw and decided to Damn the Man by running sans tag (needing an inspection before I can get the tag). I quickly headed from NC to SC ( 1/4 mile ) to take back roads I knew would be ensuring my freedom, outlaw ride. Ooops 27 miles into a joyous, rebellious ride blue lights harshed my freedom loving buzz We had a nice chat as I explained I was taking it to a dealer for an inspection so I could get my tags, I'd just got it etc. HE checked the bike, me, my license and talked helmets for a bit as he let me go on my outlaw way So, I went to Sport Cycles, was treated like a king, got the bike inspected, bought some things and wandered my way back home. SPent the afternoon putting on two new tires, a new aftermarket mirror, new oil and filter and getting it ready for a trip tomorrow. Supposed to be warmer. I'm going to get to those mods. Darn sure have to rejet the carb, but what a great little bike!!

My new goal is all my motorcycles have to have fewer horsepower than my lawnmower

Come get it. You will give it TLC it needs. Don't you have a few other inmates bikes there? I know you have a revolving door or storing bikes to help people out. I seriously wouldn't mind you riding it, I know you treat all the bikes you ride(yours or not) just as good as you treat family.

You got this via Crapatalk - now Free

Deadly, Hope you had insurance on those bikes. Also hope they catch the bastages!

Chad, I have exactly 1 bike in the stable (2014 Sherco 3.0 2T) and it's for sale, as it's my Trials demo. I did store NB's old Husaberg for the new owner till he got back from AFG. Rooster never delivered the old SB veteran bike. Think other inmates are scared I'll sell their bikes if they leave em here. You know the shop rules...30 days and they become dealership property. I'll definitely take you up on a Ully demo ride next time I see ya. EB is a genius!

NORBVR, Outstanding snag!

Thumb Too nice not to

So, with two new tires, freshly serviced, bark busters and other such tasks completed,I decided to risk the wrath of the law and continue my tag less travels on the Sherpa. I settled on North by East. Never too early to think of fishing, so I decided to check the head waters of the Lumber. (sorry, didn't think to get a picture at Drowning Creek). GOt in a few miles of this

On the game lands as I worked my way down to the next stop:

then to here, just past Chalk Banks:

Took time for tea on the trail

Had a great ride, just not sure the clutch is being all it can be, or it's toast.

Peter

Edited: Sorted out pictures

Yup. Did I see you at the intersection of Brucewood and 15/501 in Southern Pines today. I saw a KTM sumo and was trying to figure out who it might be.

Sent from the voices in my head and transcribed by their drinking buddy...

Hi, folks I am new to the site and looking to get in on the action. I live off Buffalo Lakes in Harrnett county and have been looking for places to get off the pavement. I would love to tag along if anyone is offering.

Welcome to the area and thread.

We've got a good group of Trials riders in the area if you're into that kind of thing. We've got some really sweet areas to ride. Should have an extra bike in the stable next week. Come on out and give it a try.

IT400 heads up the flat track effort in the area.

ncTrailBoss can hook you up with the Outback gang.

NoBrakes, Can educate ya on the Enduro/Hare Scramble race scene.
