You should give it Trials a try AJay. Will wear you out before you even crank the bike.

Ended up getting it from Tractor Supply ... holy crap I found a new toy store!! (Also reverse-bled the clutch on the car ... great solution to anyone with a stuck clutch / non-bleeding system...)

Where in NY?

One day I might get a lighter beast and try improving. I would be interested to find out more about the rides people are doing around the area and maybe meet and ride.

Kind regards,

I've got friends up on the island that used to ride. Aside from the Manhattan dual sport ride he was either heading to a friend's land out east or heading all the way to pine barrens to do any real dirt riding. He did manage a couple longer trips when he got time off though. Meanwhile I'm down here getting bored with firebreaks in my backyard.

I hear you.. for me it was like 2 hours to get over Throgs neck or Whitestone, then Cross Bronx expressway (yuck) and another hour to get to Bear mountain or further north on the Taconic.. so I needed a full day to get some decent riding in, half of it was stuck in traffic or lane splitting . Not much dirt riding for me, though I have been at BMW in SC once and with Raw Hyde, cant really compare that experience with someone that grew up on dirt bikes.

When I moved here in NC I was like "wow I feel in vacation every day". Once I hang a left from my place I am in the tobacco fields and forests.. open road. Now I am looking for ways to make riding more interesting.

Come on down on 12-13 Apr. We got some real interesting riding going on.

Cool thing about Trials is you can ride for hours on a 1/2 acre.

Traffic aside there were some decent roads if you knew where to look. I remember one ride we went on when I was up there headed to a seafood place near the water. The road it was on was constantly swerving and rolling over hills. I actually started to get a little nauseous. It was a blast on the DRZ though. It just took 45 minutes of my hand going numb wringing out the throttle on the parkway to get there.

It's really easy to find, all you have to do is ask TW.

You got this via Crapatalk

Tell me more of this, "flat" track business.

Never tried it (other than a TT) but always assumed I would be quite good at it..

Will do IT, still looking at about 8 weeks or so. Did Mike ever grow up or does he still look like a jockey sliding that thing around ?

Tell him I knew him from the, "Jones Powersports" days... and I believe he is still the only employee or rider to ever sink a jet-ski.
