Question 12 x 1.25mm tap/die?

Does anyone have a 12x1.25mm tap & die? I'm trying to clean up the exhaust plug holes on the DR350 after one of the plugs got a little ugly coming out.

I'm planning to do MMM at the end of the month, and even though I'll likely have to trailer the bike out (7 hrs on the DR350 stock seat, plus tire wear ... ) to TN, I want to get things fixed before then.

Lemme check tonight. If I have one, I can get it to Aberdeen in the AM. Where abouts r you? If nothing else I should have one of the clean-up taps

If you've got time I could mail it.

Burney's Hardware in Aberdeen is one of the few places I know that you can still buy individual taps and dies. I end up there every time I start a project on the Husky. Check them out!

Thanks NORBVR; I'm near Gillis Hill; I go downtown (Hay St.) and on to Bragg (Butner) regularly.

Thanks for the tip Donkeys - I'll keep it in the pocket as a backup.

Is Gillis Hill that road out in T6D county between raeford/fay? Or is that some base reference I'm missing (having not been on base since '85 or so [and I was Navy/Marine not Army any way ])? Aberdeen is the other way from downtown fayetteville (hay st) and I am not sure on where Butner is in relation to me.

You can PM me your address and I will mail them as it sounds more reasonable? weekend I could try to meet at the wallyworld west of you on 401 if you're on THAT gillis hill...

Let me know,

Peter

I need some help folks. Eric, maker of Best Bar in America, one of the best motorcycle films of all time, is filming a documentary on sidecars and dogs. It is called Sit Stay Ride. More info on that at this link:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...s-sidecar-dogs

Now, this is how I need help. He'll be here filming Melissa and I, along with Bryson, on March 31st. We'll need to do a few hours of riding footage. I need suggestions for scenic, and relatively empty, roads in the area. So where would you want to get filmed riding? I thought about heading towards Uwharrie, but I'm really looking for multiple roads that I can connect through to make a complete circuit. Any and all suggestions would help.

Also, if you want to see an awesome motorcycle documentary become a reality, please chip in a couple bucks on their Kickstarter page.

Very cool RD! I'm afraid I can't be much help with your loop for the shoot, but the Uwharrie area is a good start for sure.

These folks should talk with Chris (Sallydog) I know he doesn't ride a hack, but not many dogs have logged more miles on a bike then Littledog.

Uwharrie is tops on my list, but may present a time constraint. We have about 3 hours for filming. It is one hour from my driveway to the low water bridge. So it should work, but time of day and traffic could change that. I'm hoping to find a closer loop as a contingency plan.

After staring at the DRZ parts box for about a month the weather is finally crappy enough and I'm bored enough to get around to wrenching on it. Upgraded petcock, new spark plug, new battery, and new levers since I took an angle grinder to the old ones. A fresh tank of gas and a little seafoam to blow out the spiders and she'll be back to her old self so I can chuck her to unappreciative masses on Craigslist I'd really like to see this bike go to an inmate.
