Was that you I waved to? You were coming off the mountain on a GS and I was heading up on a black Tenere. If it was, you missed grabbing the current ABC tag by about 5 minutes. Right after that I thought to myself "Nah, just cause they were on a GS doesn't mean it was an inmate."

There's a Tiger 800XC I see at work all the time with ADV stickers on it and I have no idea who it is.

That was me, I was the second bmw coming down a fellow on a red 1150 left just before me, I was on the white 800gs. I thought about turning around and going back up just to chat, wish I had. First time up there for me, the view was fantastic.

Fayetteville -ish to Beaufort via TAT

I'm riding out Wednesday (April 2) morning for a day ride. Lunch in Beaufort, then back before bedtime. Anyone is welcome to come along.

Fellow inmates with experience on this route are encouraged to advise as necessary.

If there is a better place for this post I'm happy to comply with the convention.

I wish I could go but my excursions are limited to Sat and Sun. The weather looks like it's going to be near perfect for riding , enjoy

Been to Uwharrie plenty of times but never even knew Morrow Mountain was there until the ABC tag made me look at a map of Stanly County. Wind up top was ridiculous. Hid out in the picnic area long enough to post the tag.

I'm using this site which depicts a route running through our area. The whole idea is just to check it out.

Y'all like mountain hunting in this area, this is a fun ride.

http://scgreatoutdoors.com/park-sand...ateforest.html

Something you would not expect to find in this area. Just be aware the sand can get kind of deep on the way back to the moutain. After youve hiked to the top, head out to MacBee and hit of the food/museum and fruit stand:

In Hartsville there are some gardens you can stop and walk through if you like on the loop. Waaaaay back in this thread are some photos I took on the Ural down there. It's a nice trip. We would picnic in the park by the mountain, and still stop for chow at Mcleod farms.

**Edit to add that if you haven't taken 1 south of Rockingham, it is bit scenic with some longer dirt loops off to the sides if you look (if I ever catch a tag you can be assured of where I'll drop mine). Cheap fuel at the intersection of 1 and 9 in SC at the shell station.

I'll just have to concentrate on getting all the little things fixed so I can ride the BRT, maybe in April...

It must have been fun, because all of you bastards forgot to grab the NC tag on the way back. I never would have punted it had I known that nobody was going to grab it during MMM.

I didn't find any errors today other than my own. I just followed the blue line and had a good time.
