For anyone interested, half price Aerostich Roadcrafter Lights and Ultralights. They changed the styling this year and are closing out the old stock. I paid this much for a used one.

yeah they are going fast... I just wanted zippers replaced with the new waterproof ones on my Roadcrafter. They said it's going to take 8 weeks and this being the least busy time of year.

Blue Ridge ADV Ride

Is anyone here doing the Blue Ridge ADV Ride this weekend (6, 7 Sept)?

See https://carolinadualsporters.files.w...e-adv-ride.pdf

I couple riding buddies are trailering up but I'm riding from Fayetteville on Friday. Anyone interested in linking up to ride up Friday? I'm open on departure time.

So... nottarally - I noticed the main campground is full. An out-of-state-inmate and I were considering going. How is the backup camping? (I also noticed they're at a new place this year, so it might be all new setup...) Is it worth it to go if we won't be camping the same place as the larger group? We're social, but not beer-social...

The campground in Hot Springs is nice. It is right on the river and there is some great scenery.

There are lots of good places to ride in the area. I've been through Del Rio before, and have ridden in the area. It is nice. The locals will be guiding some rides.

If you don't mind group rides, then it will be a good time with or without beer. Personally, I'm not huge into group rides, but I love beer. You could feasibly camp at Hot Springs and pop over for some rides if you want.

I second Hot Springs and popping over for the rides you like. That way it's easy to get away from some of the jackassery that goes on up there. that's what I did last time I went.

Hot springs was nice place. Hot showers and bathrooms too.
I'm not a huge camper but that was the nicest camping trip I have had to date.
Last year, the site I was at was on the river.
