It's a '71 Alpina chassis with a '74 350 Alpina motor...it came with enough parts to set it up as a trials bike. (tires, fenders, heavy flywheel and other assorted little junk) All I have to do is paint every motorcycle he builds for the rest of my life

It came from an old High School English teacher that I had back in '75(?) he raced back then, and he still does the vintage mx thing now on a 400 CZ...You know "Boss" is gonna make you do a report about CZ motorcycles to keep your VIU credintials current (since he gave you a free-bee on the Bultaco question)

The '32 in the pics, will probably end up running with some of the High Point, Winston Salem crowd from time to time. I'd like to run it at Hickory, Carroway, Bowman-Gray and a few other historic tracks over the next few years...

Thursday ride

Once all the "boys" get here on Thursday, I am going to take them across the tops of these. About 120 mile trip. Have to carry spare MSR bottles of gas.

I'm here, got home a little bit ago, like you I had a great day but got my hat handed to me too. I didn't stick around to see the official results from scoring but they had me at 13th on the LED board as I came through scoring on the final lap. I think there was 16 or 17 in the class. The track was a lot of fun, some sections were very rough, but others were a real hoot. I'll get the helmet cam downloaded in the next day or so, along with some photos. Couldn't have asked for better weather or course conditions.

I'm still lovin' the 'berg. Here she is post-race. The bike is awesome - it chewed up everything the mountain could throw at it. I wish I could get some better finishes - it's nothing to do with the bike, that's for sure.

Life is good today....The past 4 days not so much. 4 dirt bikes in a panel van, all with new tires and full of gas made for windows down driving stink

I'll tell you though, traveling cross country and seeing how good we have it compared to a LOT of others is pretty rewarding. Rural Oklahoma, Tx, and New Mexico has a good number of hungry people. Got to hang out with some real Navajo indians yesterday. Cool dudes.

Thanks Boss! I think you would have liked it.

Hey EDK, those are some great photos. I can only imagine the sights in person. Did you guys ship or haul your own bikes out there, or are you renting?

Edit : n/m - our posts crossed and I see you answered my question above.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

How can I get my hands on an Alpina like that??? Or any Bultaco for that matter, Of all the vintage bikes Husky, Maico, CZ... Bultacos have always been my all time favorite! If you ever find another one or you want to un load that one I'd love to get involved with a project like that! LOVE thos old euro trials bikes!!

It came about because it seemed as though we were always moving old bikes around under the cover of darkness ,not knowing what we really had untill the sun rose the next day .
