So, those of you who have bedliner'd your polyethylene tanks, have any of you experienced the stuff bubbling or peeling?

and moto mike: was the paint you used called Krylon Fusion, or was it a different sort of plastic paint?

I bought some spray can stuff at Wally World. It worked very well on the Stanton Head Guards that were a little scratched up.

Which brand was it? And it was the kind in the rattle can right? I am thinking about doing the side panels, and fenders on the XRL.

Gracias

Duplicolor rattle can from Autozone works well. Feesch told me about it. That's what I used on my XRL. Put it on thick if you use sadlle bags.

Thanks ram1000

Mike good job! To do multiple pix, simply paste in more links from photobucket in one post.
I'm interested in the DIY bedliner for my truck's rocker panels, how tough is the stuff you are using? I tried the spray on kind and it peels off real easy. What brand did you use and was it spray or roll on?

EDIT: DOH! guess I should have read the whole thread before posting my dumb questions, I have the answers after reading more!

Thanks!

What did you do to prep the surface of the plastic?

I am also thinking of coating my older IMS plastic tank with bed liner.... since its kind of ugly (but only paid $25 for it, so no complaints)....

I may prep all of the pieces and just bring them to a shop that has the professional spray on stuff and have them work it in with a truck or something.

So final question.... what to prep the plastic with?

Still listening for anyone to say whether they have had blistering issues on the tanks, especially IMS
