I bought a cam chain. Ordered 92057-1316 (88rh2015, 94), but received 92057-0137 (92rh2015, 94). The chain is thinner than the original. Are they interchangeable?
It is thinner outer chain plates and generally it is soft, as if previously used.
(In the photo above - the original chain.)

First, what bike do you have?
Everybody should have a signature containing info about their bike.

You have your numbers wrong.92057-1316 is the DID 520 final drive chain.
Go through the part fiches here and you'll find the correct part number:

Was ist dem unterschied zwischen dem 88 und 92?

CHAIN,UPP,88RH2015,94L 92057-1361
CHAIN,UPP,92RH2015,94 92057-0137

CHAIN,LWR,88RH2010,82L 92057-1362
CHAIN,LWR,92RH2010,82 92057-0138
Hab mal steuerkette preise nachgefragt.
Eine satz upper und lower 88RH kostet 34 euro.
Eine satz 92RH kostet 62 euro. Das incl 19 % mehrwersteuer BTW.

old prices, the 88H set upp lwr is much cheaper.
Copied this from other site, parts klx650c
and asked the kawasaki dealer could not tell me the difference.

A thin chain is good in sports- it is easier, faster turns.
* But wears out, apparently faster? The problem is not in the chain. The matter in time and labor to install it.

"Previous part number
92057-1362CHAIN,LWR,88RH2010,82L "
so the 92 must be better quality?

I hit the spanner with a hammer and unscrewed the magnet bolt . (not the first time to do it on my bike ...)
Remove the magnet, with the rear wheel axis.
Question - Is it possible to replace the chain, if I do not remove the cylinder?

Acerbis 4.5 R tank

Question; Has anyone mounted a Acerbis 4.5 Gal. R-model tank on a C-model?. From what I've read the C seat will not fit, and that is all I know at this point.

Cheers,
Tom.

Kind off. I made an "R" street legal by swapping a "C" frame in. There are two bosses on both sides of the frame on the upper member, towards the front. They need to be ground off. Also, the "R" tank has a mounting point right behind the headstock. The "C" model may not have that bracket.
In order to make the "R" seat work on the "C" frame, a few brackets need to be welded on.

Do you have a R tank, if not what color do you want?

In europe is see from time to time C tanks for sale.
If you want i can keep the watch. And the C tank is bigger then R tank.

PM me what you want to spend on a c tank. And shipping costs

I "thought" that the C seat may not work with the R tank?. FYI...I can mod the C seat (front mount) with no worries.

Cheers,
Tom.

I have no idea if the "C" seat can be made to work (I suspect that it's a lot of hassle, and it may be easier to get an "R" seat). I had all "R" goodies.

KLX650 silicone hoses

Here's something for the old KLX650.

I was looking for silicone radiator hoses for my 95 KLX650R. Gave Advanced
Performance Accessories a call to see if there was any chance in hell I could get a set of Moto Hoses for the bike. He doesn't have a set in his catalog but he's willing to start production. He mentioned he will pick up a set of factory hoses to get the ball rolling but he needs a minimum of 3 pre orders to start production.

He's done this for KLR's already. Here's a link to his vendor thread on ADV...
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=902489

Advanced Performance Accessories is a small US company in NC, just outside Charlotte. If there are any riders in the Charlotte area or in North Carolina that are interested in a set of silicone hoses it would be very helpful if he had a bike to do test fitting.

Website... www.motohose.com

You can contact him via email at...
sales@advancedperformanceaccessories.com

Phone... 704-340-7958

I don't know about everyone else but the hoses on my bike are getting tired. Used ones from fleabay aren't much better. Seems like a great opportunity to upgrade the bike and add some color.

I might be interested, but I'll have to dig into the KLX I picked up a bit more and figure out what the status of it is.
