Evilclown grabbed this pic later that evening..Lots of great memories from that night of camping. Something about having the whole place to ourselves and being perched on the edge of a cliff..

Doesn't need cleaning up as much as it just needs a good scan from the 30-year-old print in the album. Re-photographing a shot to get it into digital format is a tricky business that rarely works very well. But the photos themselves are still in pretty good shape (a testimony to the longevity of dye emulsion on paper--they'll probably be around long after my digital media have turned to unreadable bits).

If I am very ambitious, I might manage to scan all the photos from that trip (some are quite spectacular IMHO) and do a somewhat after-the-fact ride report ("Sherman, set the Way-Back for 1981"). It is interesting to see how things have changed.

As for the kids, never mind them--I put together trip albums for me! Figure the day's gonna come (maybe not that far away anymore!) when I'm gonna be sitting in the home, in my Depends, in my rocking chair, looking through the trip albums and saying "Wow, what an interesting life that guy had. Wonder who he was?"

From the edge of our site out on the point.

You can make the tents out about a 1/3 up on the frame on the left.

With MapMaster joining us just before dark, there were only 5 people in the entire world getting to enjoy that spot and that moment at that time.

Memorable trip.

Nothing fancy, but last weekend was my first motocamping trip in 2 years (after a back injury) so this is currently my favorite camping pic. :)

is this Meat Cove? I camped there with my dad in 2009. it was an absolutely fantastic place...not easy to get to, but that added to the experience.
