I bet when they put it back together they pinched a line somewhere causing pressure to build up where it shouldn't. I remember when I was considering a VTX1300, people were pinching a vent hose when changing air filters and it would cause major issues.

You may want to tell Suzuki to recommend you to a new dealer. Sounds like these guys are breaking more than they fix.

pickin it up 2nite...

I swung by there yesterday to see WTF was going on..

"umm...the new head is on back order yet...our computer shows it will be on the west coast tomorrow, then a week to get here"

Can I pay for expedited shipping?

"let me check"

2 minutes later, he comes back with a box..."The part just arrived"

what bullshit...blah blah blah..our system wouldn;t show it here until we receive it, and it just got here....(even though they were getting a tracking number last week)

mechanic called a few hours ago..."there was some scoring on the front cylinder and a ring out of spec.....suzuki wasn't much help, but they did agree to pay for everything....hopefully this fixes the problem".....

Jesus H this isn't rocket science. The engines being produced these days are tight. Well except for the KLR. I can say that because I have one.

The engine either works as in runs clean or it doesn't as in burns oil. They need to be stepping up with a new engne or bike if this time around doesn't fix the bike. I'd be talking with the dealer and Suzuki mothership. If you don't get the appropriate responses contact a lawyer familiar with the lemon law. No company builds a perfect product every time but hell stand behind your products and warranties. Suzuki can write off a new engine or even bike if yours is hosed which it sounds like it is.

Good luck.

Bluish-White smoke???

If it's not making strange noises it might just be a head gasket. If you can, take the top off of the radiator, and if you can see in, fire up the bike and see if it tries to do strange things to your water level. Also there's a tester for CO2 in the water.. worth a try, then you'll know. If its bluish to dark to black smoke out the tail pipe, a compression check is in order.
