My 12 black bonne.

Just over 1200 miles, but so far it is the most fun bike I have ever owned.

The Mrs new Bonneville, 2004 carb model with only 2700 miles on it, finally got a hold of the keys to take it out for a wee blast myself.

My 2011 T100. I have added the Triumph luggage rack since this pic. I have Renntec engine bars on order (I am told they will fit--we'll see), and will be adding a centerstand (Tec--will work with Arrows), and the Triumph "King and Queen" saddle. Looking forward to riding her to Barbers in October (and on to the Ozarks).

Cheers,

Mike

How do you like the Corbin? I have been going back and forth on whether to get a Corbin or the Triumph touring saddle. Triumph's is a bit cheaper and easier for me to get. I looked at comments online and it seems most like the Triumph saddle, with the exception of the "buttons" which apparently form pockets that can collect water. Also, the Corbin is a couple inches longer, so I am not sure it will play nice with the factory luggage rack/grab bar.

Cheers,

Mike

I owned a 1968, which I bought new. I have fond memories of that bike, but, alas no photos.

my physiology is weird with seats, so your mileage may vary. i can say that the corbin is superior to the triumph gel seats. my comfy ride time was extended by 50%. i can go for 2-3 hours, after that the aches come and go. the aches don't make me beg for death, but they piss me off that i paid what i paid and am still not completely comfy. i can't tell you if it's better than the Triumph touring saddle, i've never used that one. i wouldn't let the threat of little water pockets deter me from trying it, if i were you. i would have tried the touring saddle myself, but i don't feel like giving triumph any more money. douchebags at the daytona beach dealership take your money and run. they don't care if accessories come with 1 year warr. from triumph, you buy it, all sales final, regardless of triumph policy. i'll sell you my scrambler gel seat if you want it.

as far as accessories working with the corbin? any saddlebags that have straps that pass between the seat and the frame, it's game over. the corbin is TIGHT to the frame. any saddlebag straps will have to go over the passenger seat.

triumph tall sissy bar fits just fine though.

i see you're not terribly far away from me. i'd be willing to meet up and let you try my seat out for yourself if you like.

Thanks for the info. 'preciate it! Yeah, I am just southwest of ya'll. Be fun to meet up some time; you're not heading over for Plant City Bike Night on Saturday are you? I'm heading up there myself. I plan to use my Bonnie for day-to-day and long distance touring (heading to Barbers and on to the Ozarks in Oct) so am trying to outfit it as comfy as can be. It is my only vehicle, unless you count my wife's Element that she lets me drive once in a while. "Miss Madeleine" just did a ride to Panama from the NE and back and hasn't had any complaints about the K&Q and from forums and such it seems to be a decent saddle, so I'll probably go with that. Good to know about the underseat saddlebag issue with the Corbin; I usually do my Cortech Sports that way, unless I am on a trip and use the overbag too. I've been known to do 700 mile days on my old CB350 , so I know how important a good saddle is.

It is too bad to hear that about the Daytona dealer. They had some smokin' deals (like $4998) a couple Bike Weeks ago that almost got me to plop down some $ on a SE; bad timing for me and now I am glad I didn't.

I am lucky, even though they are 100 miles away, I have Hap's down in Sarasota (where I bought my T100). Hap's is an old family dealership (Triumph, Honda, BMW, Hyosung, and now Zero) and has been around since the '40s. They are great to deal with. At my 6,000 mile check up I could do everything myself except for the ECU check, so I rode down for Hap's to do it. They finished up, including pulling plugs so I could take a look at them (gotta get a skinny socket for those one of these days), handed the keys back to me, and when I went to pay they said, "No charge." And this was no bought-new bike either, I bought the bike from them as a consignment sale. I ordered the rack from them over the phone and they mailed it up to me here to save me the trip. Pretty happy with Hap's.

Cheers,

Mike
