Couple of ideas to mount red fuel canisters:


This one is not so good as it really lightened front wheel and badly affected handling:

If you're riding solo, wouldn't it work better having the cans attached to the front of the panniers - always assuming that there is enough room behind the rider's feet and the panniers - maybe using the pillion footpegs to help support them?
