Start with these.... they should contain everything you need to know as to WHY you should replace the lever, and how.

It's a Kenda 270 that is what's on there now but 3"

The wider kenda is a 3.25, not 3.5. It is not as common as the 3.00. In theory, it might give a little better flotation in sand, at the expense of slightly slower steering, but in practice, you probably will not notice a difference.

Any idea how much to add to the main tube to get an extra gallon of reserve?

Picture of a useless hunk of metal. Had a purpose back in the day when you used to kickstart your bike, now it is just something to break, leave you stranded or throw a broken spring into your valve train. Plus the sucker is noisy.
Remove at your convenience!

You are getting better gas mileage than i am. If i see 200 miles between gas sations i have just spent 30 miles riding in a panic.

dyno jet

I realize this topic has been done to death on here but am in need of help and i've slogged through hundreds of pages looking for a simple answer.
I'm riding an 09 with the top of the airbox drilled out with 5 - 1'' holes, I have a two brothers slip on with the P2 tip. I bought a dynojet kit and followed all instructions for the stage 2 kit and the bike ran like crap, convinced i was way overfueling i went down to the stage one settings and things definately got way better the bike is now rideable at least and seems to have pretty good power all through the range (i think i may have lost a little top end but I did't buy a klr for wide open speed anyway so no biggie)

I still seem to have an excesive amount of popping on decel and was wondering what you guys would suggest to try to remedy this as in smaller jet again? or shim under needle? I've been thinking about going back to the stock jet and needle and just doing the .22 cent shim mod to give it a try. maybe I should just stop whining and put up with the popping and banging lol

any help would be appreciated

cheers.

Read this in another forum, not sure if it helps..."If it pops and backfires on deceleration you will need to remove and cap off the airpump under the right side air scoop. It is pumping air into the exhaust header to get it hot enough for the cat to work properly. When you take of the factory exhaust they have a tendency to backfire on deceleration."
