i just installed some today and while the mirrors and ram mounts are of high quality, the split clamp perch assembly is CHEAP AS **** . chinese pot metal at best. one of the bolts was partially stripped off the bat and then another one snapped in two when i tightened it down. I'll be going to the hardware store to buy four new bolts to replace them all.

Love mine. Better than the rubber isolators from dual star I had before.

Just looked at the fairing and light set up you are using, very nice set up.

Don't think they make them anymore, believe they were a "Givi"
mount.

Not size-critical IMHO; just has to connect to the tee tightly enough not to fall off; 1/4" ID sounds about right.

Oil Seepage..

Hey Guys, I'm out on a trip currently and developed an oil leak thru the seepage hole in the bottom of the water pump cover, which means the oil seal in the cover is leaking...not bad right now but my question is, will it continue to get worse and have to be replaced or will I be able to manage it by adding oil every once in awhile. Have 12,000 or so kms to cover yet.

Thanks for the input!

.

I believe that you are fortunate in that the area is not under oil pump pressure. The oil seal/waterpump seal is not in the cover, but behind the water pump impeller which is under pressure. You will need a new seal, 2 new O rings and probably a water pump gasket.

You dont tell us where you are? I personally would change that seal out as soon as possible particularly if you are having to add oil and if you are near to somewhere that it can be done or do it yourself. You might be OK, but a back-up plan if it gets progressively worse would be in order
