Simon/Lisa,

You're pictures deserve to go in National Geographic Magazine, they are truly amazing, breathtaking, etc. I've got a friend who does amatuer photography for 3 years and I showed him this thread and he is quite amazed! Thanks for sharing your travels and some AMAZING pictures!!!

For anyone that is near any of the these locations take the time to go see Simon and Lisa, these two people are incredible. Their slide presentation is very enjoyable and the only down side of it is it gets over much too soon.

I've been to two of the presentation when they were in the Seattle area and if I get a chance I'll go see them again. When I spotted Boise on the schedule I thought I could do it but with it being on a Thursday, I won't be able to, work gets in the way. (it's a full days ride to Boise from where I am).

Simon and Lisa I'm glad you will be back in the United States, making the rounds and sharing your adventure and now that you will be writing for RoadRunner I'm going to have to get a subscription.

Hey sambor1965,

I thought I'd balance up the scale a little and 'maybe' give you some food for thought

Don't rule out Africa just yet. Here's a few reason why you should absolutley ride a bike there. Africa is an experience like 'no other'. Let me know what you think.

Hope ya like em'...still thinking about putting off Africa?????

Cheers

FWIW... VA = Virginia.

Lisa and Simon, are you going to be in Silverton, Colorado again for the HU meet July 10-13?

Loved your show last year.

When do you expect to be in Alaska?

Hi SgtMarty,

We'd love to get to the colorado meet and we've been in touch with Grant but right nw it looks unlikely. We've promised to run a few more presentations but all en-route to Alaska. We'll be there begining of August.

It should be fun, It looks like there be quite a gathering up there as Maddaddy's lot are heading up, more than a few adv riders and we're meeting up with Lisa's sister and her man 'Nick Sanders' (AKA fastest man around the world. Did it on an R1 ) He's just set off on his latest project called paralell worlds and there will be 3 DVD's and two books coming out of that. Here's his website http://www.nicksanders.com. All sound like it going to be a great ride and possible one hell of a party in Prudhoe Bay

Ladybug0048, we wanted to say thank you for your kind words...your making us blush, hopefully we can meet up somewhere else if it's not in Boise.

Maddaddy, you tinker...jump that, you couldn't jump a 'friggin' rope if it was sitting on the ground

How are you, understand the trip's become a bit of a monster. It'll all work out. Say hi to Mare for us.

Springs, we'd love to see you in Boise, let us know if that's going to work out.

Cheers
for now

Simon & Lisa,

Those are some of the most....exquisite photographs I have ever seen. Especially the sunset on the salt flats, with the bike lights illuminating the foreground. The mountain in the background and the moon hanging low on the horizon does indeed give it an "otherwordly" feel! I am newb to 'adventure riding, and will be taking my first trip this summer, to conquer the Artic Circle and beyond with a couple of good friends. After Alaska, the New Mexico desert and its accompaning American Indian ruins are next. Oh, to be independently wealthy

Inspiring, magnificent pics, folks. Well done!!

What!!!!

What???

Yeah I know this sounds dumb East Coast Rider but I read your post and thought 'eh'? What moon in the background??? I'd never seen the moon in the distance! I've looked at that image a few times and never seen it.

Durig the prep for the shot (about an hour) there was no moon and the cloud was so heavy that it wasn't worth looking for.

Thanks for poiting it out.

Cheers
