The one thing I've been thinking of doing for a long time is a trellis swingarm with the driveshaft exposed. I'd like to find a set of Ohlins forks too. Nice bikes here all of them. Cool thread too - I'm going to subscribe for inspiration.

I am in the process of removing my tach and speedo as well. Looks much cleaner without it and shaves a little weight off. Although I am going to get a small bicycle computer just to monitor my speed since I DD my /6.

Glad you are getting it out, as you said its funny to come over to the old skool forum and find your bike on a pedestal among airhead cafe builds. Its picture sneaks into most discussions about building a cafe bike or cafe bike pictures.

Odd hearing about it sitting around, when most people see it and just think about riding it.

Nice KaiWe!
Can we see how you fixed the fairing?

(Are you Kaiwe Minogue? Man, always knew you had some REAL style behind all that glam.)

Question:

The original paintjob on the tank of my BMW said "Thompson Suzuki" and now I'm wondering what the thompson part is about, I know the name has something to do with caferacers/classic races. If I google it one name keeps comming back: Hunter S Thompson, but I can't really seem to get more information and I'm not too sure it's the same Thompson. Anyone here who knows more?
