Nice and minimalist ... I would have been tempted to have picked up the silver on the edges of the snowflake mags as well (although prefer wire wheels myself).

Looking at it again - aesthetically for me the tank looks a bit small especially in relation to the large seat (lovely shape though) ... does not drop down quite lower enough so the transitional lines from tank to seat are a bit severe. A very critical eye mind you.

Here is a quick snap of my /5 racer. Just getting new exhaust. The Dellortos will be installed and tuned today. Going racing on Labor Day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Stephen, a guy in France was making those in both aluminum and fiberglass.

The ones available here in the states are knockoffs of his design.

I agree with you about the exhaust wrap, but hey if you are trying to turn a profit by producing a trendy espresso bike for the trendies to buy at top dollar, then you can't afford to replace those dinged exhaust pipes, the silencers are fine, you just fit a couple of ultra cheapo shorty silencers etc etc etc. I don't know who buys these bikes, but I doubt if any money is spent on any of the mechanical stuff that can go wrong, but I doubt if they get used much so maybe it does not matter.

It's the same reasoning for the fashion for black wheels, it just so much cheaper to use a rattle can of black paint on an old and crappy looking snowflake or spoked wheel, rather than refinishing them properly.
