I have another pic of that bike somewhere - cant find it...
anyhoo, I'm doing a similar conversion to my R65 - K100 front end with K75 3-spoke 18in mag wheel (320mm floating disc brake and 4-pot Brembo caliper) and a Monolever rear end with K1100LT 3 spoke 17in wheel.... all BMW parts, but from various sources. I've got most of the parts, just have to tackle the motor (which has seen better days).... this may take some time......

Hey Two Tone 77: 'zat you on the bike? I saw the previous pictures of the bike, all without rider, and I have to say that it ranks right up there with the top one or two BMW cafe's I have ever seen.... abso 'fing loooootely................ Whoeee Every little detail is so tight: from the seatpan clearance around the rear turns, to the airbox mods to the wheel black/alum treatment... a lot of thought and work went into those details, and I salute you! Simply awesome. ![]() . |

Beautiful bike!
The front forks look compressed or lowered? Any clues on how that was done? Spacers? And no centerstand (I just read the "centerstand" post) Again, love the bike. |

Thanks for the kind words man...yeah thats Me...the GF wanted to take a pic with me on it after I rode it home...
The best thing about this bike is...that SHE Flys She's light and nimble...for a Boxer and she runs like the dickens...i't funny, she surprises everyone who gets on her...(mostly non BMW guys...Retro-Brit guys, Cafe-Honda guys and even some of my modern naked bike friends... always get..." man she's way quicker and more powerful than I though she would be" There are lots of super cool bikes and builds on this thread... and I solved a lot of my bike issues and mechanical questions on these Forums... Thanks to all of you guys for the great info and help... FORKS - Rebuilt and set up with new Progressive Springs then Dr. Dave dialed them in to match the Ohlin's (there not lowered...might just look that way cause the Gators are compressed more by the TELEFIX for Brace...) The suspension set up on this is what makes the handling so tight and agressive (I have been lurking the "Old School" threads and reading up as I have been putting together stuff for my next project...) 1970 CB450 K3

![]() Forgot to mention the peashooters.... nice! And, given what you've done with the /6, can't wait to see the 450... Always thought that particular Honda was a real keeper: sorta Brit-bike but with Honda build quality. I keep trying to get my kid interested in the twins, but he goes for the 4 cyl jobbies.... Anyway, I second your choice, and will be anxiously looking for what you do with her ![]() Kewl! |
