The owner of the White House is mad at the world. This is only place on earth where he could be successful. The food is just so so. The service is terrible. The Mojave Red on tap is just wonderful.
. ![]() Right across the street is The Miner's Union. This place has a real soda fountain with a old time marble counter top. The place recently changed hands and I have not had a chance to check out their service.

![]() A recent dessert in Skagway at Jewell's Garden. A lot of the food on the menue was grown on site. I wish I had shot the rubarb pie before I ate it.

Then I headed over to where my girlfriend works. Greg, the boss, followed us outside and kept trying to tell me about how he went to Las Vegas one time on a motocycle. I was like, "oh-kay, that's great Greg." Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton |

Punalu'u Bakery, renowned for their Portuguese Sweetbread.
![]() Their Chicken Cutlet, typical local plate lunch complete with rice and potato/mac salad, a little skimpy, normally you get Two Scoops Rice. ![]() Ideal refueling after a day of this.

This is from the Mexican Hat Lodge ("home of the swinging steak") in Mexican Hat, Utah. It was featured at the end of episode 3 of Feasting on Asphalt. There's a piece of chicken under that toast.
