October 2005, a couple hundred miles from Creel in the Copper Canyon region in Mexico, as we were coming down from the Suripa bridge, after riding through Madera.
We hadn't had anything to eat since the day before, so we finally stopped in one of the few settlements along this route. I approached a young man and, explained our situation, he then promptly asked his daughter to run over to the "tiendita" a minuscule supplies store, where she got some bologna, and some beans, ran back to their little shack where the Mrs. fixed what you see here for us hungry, smelly bikers. ![]() ![]() Once done when asked how much we owed them, the man said "nothing you folks are traveling..." Regardless of this fine sample of loving hospitality, we passed the hat and handed him a good $60 US. There IS a lot of good in the world. Viva Mexico!
