Shit Monte, you just gave away all my best shit.

602 into Ferrum is a great road...

All of those are fun roads and what I ride at least once a week. I can take off after work and hit most of that ride.

Sorry Steve. Five years ago, I had a bitch of a time finding people to ride with when I lived in Roanoke. So now, when someone asks for route advice, I hate to keep that local knowledge bottled up. See you at Rebel Yell.

BreadMan, when you get a spot picked let us know and I'll make it if possible.

I would hit the 58 road from Damascus or Abingdon to Mouth of Wilson. If you want dirt check out highcountryatv.com. I posted a few reports from my trips up to visit the parents - do a search of old posts if interested. Have a fun trip.

Looks like I will be coming down Friday night to Roanoke or vicinty. Any camping spots, or better yet, cabins in the area? Kapn will be meeting me.

I'm not really familiar with the area, but I did find a KOA in Natural Bridge VA. I'm thinking that might be a good place to meet Friday night and then cruise to somewhere else on Saturday night. I'm probably bringning a tent, but they also have cabins.

here's the link:

If anyone else has a better suggestion, I'm open to ideas.

I'm going to spend Saturday removing the secondary throttle plates and syncing up the throttle bodies on the V-Strom. I will be riding somewhere on Sunday to make sure everything is A-OK before the trip to Rebel Yell the following weekend. If you decide where you are staying sat night, maybe I can meet you guys for a Sunday ride.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to keep it somewhat central, near Roanoke if possible. I've also found this place:

http://www.campingfriend.com/Montebe...ile=Directions

Looks like a good central meeting spot.

I'm not sure what the plans are on Sunday, I've got a long ride home and Breadman might have to get back to mrs breadman.

I guess I'll post up the final decision sometime Wed afternoon and we can get a roll call.

IMHO
Just a bist far east for the really good uncongested riding, it would be a shame to be that close and miss 219,150,15,66 and all the little unknown roads that connect them.
A good loop if bases in the marlinton area is 219 to 150, north on tea creek road, 15 to webster spring and back to 219 north, east on 250 south on 28, 66 to cass, small back road to marlinton, it the only left turn off of 66 past cass.
i might make it, please advise of plane

thanks
aaron

Everything up there looks pretty good. There has been a request to run light and skip carrying the camping gear. This motel looks pretty good and I called and there are rooms available for Friday and Saturday night.
