Anybody riding to and from the coast to the valley? Speak up.

My GFs family lives in Portsmouth and Newport News. My folks live about 1.5 hours west of Suffolk, just off 58. I do a fair amount of riding between those destination and here, in the northern Shenandoah Valley.

In Richmond, I like to ride west the best. The roads to the east just are not that interesting.

West is defanatly the way to go. I spend most of my time in western Va and West Va. I just took a little 1,300 mile ride to Ky through the backroads of that area last weekend on my /6. You just can't get much better roads than that in this area.

Live in Arlington & just bought a weekend place near Shenandoah (Page Valley). Haven't done as much riding in and around the valley as I'd like, but I'm hoping having a home base there will change that soon.

Yes

See my location under avatar. Weekdays in Hampton, most weekends in Amherst County, just east of the Blue Ridge Parkway off route 60.

Coast and Valley riders?

Just moved from Poquoson to Petersburg. Ride West Virginia as much as I can. Anyone heading either way has a place to stay here in Petersburg, and possibly a place to camp on the family farm near Franklin, WVa. All depends on where I am.
