Pulling lip seals-what works best-KTM

I am struggling to get the lip seals out of the wheels on my 640 Adventure.
Some of them have a metal outer body and they are tough.
How do you guys get them out?
Can you "save " them for reinstallation if you are just regreasing the bearings?
Thanks,
Bill.

The faster it goes the faster it breaks.
And high performance=high maintenance.

Bill,

I just used a seal puller tool on my rear wheel and replaced the seal with a SKF seal for $3.99 from a local bearing house. Actually I bought 2 seals, so I have one next time I re-grease the bearings. For only $3.99 I don't want to reuse the old seal.

Thanks for that Tom.
BTW, I bought a grease needle for 5 bucks and used it on the front wheel bearings. It sneaks right in and worked great. I just lifted the bearing seal with a thin blade in one spot and slid it in. The seal popped right back down and all was well.

Do you use one of those hook type seal pullers.
Bill
BTW my kid and I bought an RXCe out in Idaho A '97 0r a '98.
Can't remember exactly. I will write you a PM.
