Boring Wussy Pics
I finally got around to opening a P-base account and posted some pictures. These are mostly boring "look where I've been on my bike" pics, (a lot of state signs) but there are a few things that might be interesting:

I always love scenery pics with motorcycles in it, thanks !
BTW, I also just set up a pbase account and noticed the following news item, in case you haven't noticed: 15-Jan-2002 - Important change to pbase.com coming soon Traffic continues to increase quickly. Free unlimited hosting cannot continue. In order to provide fast reliable service to those who have paid, pbase will soon charge to host your photos. Your donations have helped much and are the reason the servers and network connection have been upgraded over the last year. Thank you!! However, the cost of hardware and bandwidth is still much higher than the donations can pay for. Thanks to Springboard Hosting for their tolerance of the heavy bandwidth usage by pbase. And what's with the funky round mirrors on your RT ? Those panorama fairing mirrors not sufficient enough ? GS wannabee :lol1 ?

Thanks, Dutchman. I checked out your pics some time ago. Enjoyed them a lot. The oversize lids are really great, and install easily (drill off the rivet heads and replace with the screws provided) They come in very handy, especially for a guy like me. Typical American, I always overpack. That's something I've always admired about Europeans and Brits, give'em a little duffel bag and they'll circle the globe.
Flying Dutchman, I didn't see the notice 'till I uploaded! Drat! As far as the GS mirrors, they are getting kind of popular. Fishy was one of the first to use them on an RT. They come in handy when I have my camping gear on board. In fact, they are a little easier to scan under any circumstance. With them, I've been able to aim the stock mirrors farther out and virtually eliminate the blind spot. I had intended to use them only on trips, but decided to leave them on all the time. |
