C'ville folks / Shen 500

Could we get a head count on the C'ville riders doing Shen 500.

I've reserved two sites with water and electric that will fit two tents.

Right now it's me, SST, Shelia and John. If we've got no other takers I'll turn in the other site.

I'm going to ask the wife... It would be on my birthday after all.

I'll get back to you in 12 hours.

{{Update - Got permission, now I'll see if there is room...}

Is The Dude Himself going to do it too? Heard he has been practicing in the dirt!

I want to do this, but can't decide. I have only had my big strom for 3 months, and around 4000 miles. I have done alot of Mt Biking in the Shenandoah Valley, in the last couple of years it has been the really technical, rocky stuff in the north end of the valley. How difficult will this ride be on Trailwings on my DL-1000. I am thinking maybe I should wait till next year and have some TKCs for this event, but can't make up my mind.

I, personally, would not do this event on the V-strom. It is do-able though on the V-strom with TKC's.

But what the heck do I know I rode the ever loving snot out of Transalp before I figured out it was not a dirt bike.

No word from The Dude yet.... we'll see.

{Say, when is Scott coming to town anyway? That might get him down here for some riding... after all, he's got another cylinder cover to smash up. }

Transalp???? What the heck is that? Does it look like a white whale and ride like a noodle? Just kidding man, John may be on one for this event.

Thumbs down Bummer dude...

I'm OUT for the Shen 500. Learned last night that I have to attend a Gala Fundraising Dinner and Benefit that Saturday night. Might be able to meet y'all Sunday morning for a cup of coffee and then I can go ride by myself .

OK so it's Grimmboy, Kres, Shelia, John. Skippy is on the fence and have not heard from Daniel or Greg. Do we want the two spots or just one. Shelia / Johnboy do you want a spot?

If not I'll return one of them.

So does this mean Moto Va got their mess straight?

I may have a bike by then. Is it too late to register?
