Anyone have any route ideas for going from Sacramento to Colorado Springs. I just drove west in a car on 80 from Iowa so that superslab is out. I'm on a 93 gspd but the brakes need work so I want to go fairly direct. I was thinking US 50 anyone got an opinion?
Any one want to tag along for a section or the whole? I'm leaving on the 1st or 2nd of october taking 4 days or so and coming back by the 14th or so.

brakes need work and the parts won't arrive here in time so they are going to CO so paved I was thinking of 4 days out so it will need to be fairly direct but some worthy detours would be great.

If youre staying on the road... Hwy 50 through Ely, Nv then on to Grand Junction along Hwy 70 or go north to Hwy 40.. Its all pretty scenic.
