The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Wheels will be sprayed silver, frame swinging arm and sub frame will be sprayed metallic black.

Side stand spring

Can I get the side spring for my side stand for my /6 at a hardware store. Does anyone have an extra one they can measure for length? I heard the ones at/from BMW are much stronger than generic ones. Can I use a brake spring from the auto parts place?

Thanks.

Why bother reinforcing the swing arm? Is it weak?

This car air filter fit's straight into plastic housing (post 1981 airhead's), once you have cut the old one out. It is a FRAM CA5205.

I have been using this for the last 15 yrs and many 1000's of mile's with no problem's what-so-ever. They cost a 1/4.
Safe riding Karl.

That's certainly easier than sectioning a Toyota truck filter. Good on ya.

I'll hope it's an ilusion, as the shape is parallel on the whell side and not outer side (genuine)

so I recently started on an r80gs project and I seem to recall something about the charging light being an issue... like if the bulb goes out it doesn't charge. Is this true and if so how can it be fixed? I was thinking of putting a volt meter on can I just eliminate the light?

Seek and ye shall find ... clicky

All you ever wanted to know, but were afraid to ask - specifically the first link in the first reply explains all regarding the charging (gen) light “fix”.
