hi Mike!
you're exactly right about the ABS cycling under deceleration; i had it happen several times this last week on wet dirt/mud roads while simply downshifting enough to get the required disparity between front and rear wheel speeds even though the rear wheel hadn't completely locked. however, since i wasn't braking (and didn't need to) at the time, there wasn't any effect on braking. and yes, i typically 'blip' to match engine and wheel speeds when downshifting, but not always as much if i'm just playing with it in the dirt! :): cheers! e Quote:

Blipping is good.
It took me awhile when I first got the GS to smooth out the shifting so you don't hear that nasty 'clunk' when you downshift. Also, as the motor gets more miles on it it won't be so tight and should be a little less prone to doing this. Have fun -
