Biggest gain would be less weight, and a bit more power.

New G 650 Xchallenge is advertised

The new enduro version of the F650 is what BMW Motorrad Enduro World is calling it.

Missed the thread, thanks

Sounds like sometime in the Spring we'll see it, at least in Europe.

I've just returned from the Phoenix bike show were the 650 X was their for the masses to check out. One look was just not enough, we caught ourselves going back at least three times to give it the "once over". Style: 10. Everything else ????? Side gas tank looks cool, but, what about if you need more ? This one had ABS, but why ?? The HP was close by, they look like BIG brother - little sister, in a good way. Did I say style a 10 ? I want to like it, but, it better haul ass in the dirt. If it doesn't, she is all SHOW and no GO ??? Time will tell. Jim

The new G 650 X models are now on the BMW USA web site. Says that they will be available in March 2007. I will be putting a deposit on the G 650 X Challenge soon.

I was thinking maybe they could design a spare gas tank that was opposite the exhaust can, on the right side, making it look like a dual exhaust system. I don't know what gas that high up and on one side would do to the balance, though.

Those videos are LAME. I could make better videos with the three bikes than those. First, no sound? Maybe that's just my computer, but what's up with that. The offroad video is OK, but the supermoto really kills me. No wheelies, no extreme lean angles and no backing it in? (I've got ABS on my Dakar and you can slam that bike down a gear or two and slide the ass end). Just don't think these videos are representative of the bikes or comparative to the competition (KTM videos are awsome). Hopefully BMW will come out with some better advertisement sooN!
