G'Day guys, sorry to change threads here. (I couldn't find this in the forum). How do I remove the pin in the Brembo caliper that holds the brake pads in place? It looks like it probably needs to be tapped out with a punch/drift and a hammer, but maybe it's threaded?

Punch and hammer will do the job (from the wheelside).

Don't forget to remove the spring-clip first

If you track down a temp gauge please log the details. I want to keep an eye on mine as I have recently fitted a larger radiator without the stat.

what about fitting the trail tech . i think they have a temp sensor in a 22mm fitting

This weekend was filled with some great stupidity. Out by a buddy's house of mine there is a lot of random ass land that is just open. Most of the dirt is actually clay, so winter will suck there, but at this time of year it looks like giant pieces of gravel, but falls apart right when you get to it. We decided that it would be a good idea to cross a few of these fields. The xchallenge did not mind plowing through this crap at 30 mph or so, and I did not leave the bike unintentionally... so all in all I'm impressed that the bike made up for my lack of skill. maybe next time we will get some pictures of this stupidity! Looking forward to a real ride next weekend.

Thx @Flo_Evans for the tutorial on how to do this; I just did it!

A few notes for anyone who's going to try it:

You don't need to take the big hose off the servo -- that entire assembly will go away, so you can keep it connected.
To access the place where you put the vacuum cap on, you'll have to take off the left-side panel.
The MSR bottle I used is 30 oz (about one liter). One of the clamps isn't quite big enough for it (the other one fits fine). So I'll have to get a larger bolt for one clamp.

hey all,

my g650x (moto), in the Northeast FL area. Maybe somebody here owned it at one time...

anyways, it seems to have had some upgrades done to it prior to my ownership.

-Protaper bars
-Cycra Hand Guards
-Sliders on fork and rear arm
-Bike painted was Oxford White
-Husky/KTM rear sproket replacement?

nice to be here...! I wish I could convert the bike to look x-country, that is more my style aesthetically speaking...
