Good days and bad days.
I ride very regularly and find that some days the bike glides through corners with pinpoint accuracy. It is finely balanced at every stop and start and the bike and I do not make the slightest error. On these days, I feel that I am completely in tune with bike.
Every now and then, I am just an ordinary rider. I constantly seek fine balance and make small errors on cornering lines. Does this happen to everyone? Can you suggest some causes? By the way, I don't drink so it's not the amber fluid.

I'm ordinary all the time. Tho sometimes I do feel more "in the groove". I figure it's tons of factors comming together. Tired/awake, hungry, thirsty, sun, confidence, aches, all sorts of stuff.
Motorcycle Consumer News did a good writeup on this concept in a series about "The Zone". Might be worth getting copies of the back issues. |

Haynes, I'm not really a go-faster, but I do enjoy the twisties. As far as "off days" I'm probably more like 50/50. There are some days that I'm just not in synch, and I try to be cognizant of it from the get-go. I ride for fun, and it doesn't make any sense to get myself hurt. If I don't feel "with it" I back off and don't push it.

Good days.....
Ron B,
I am also not a riding ACE but the difference from day to day is clearly noticeable. ......and to Moot and Rod: aren't you supposed to be working at this time of day? (like me)
