If it makes you feel any better I didn't get it for the $1000 advertised price. I had to pay $1200! But I still think it was a good deal. Were you the guy that emailed asking for pictures? I couldn't wait for no stinking pictures. I braved the predicted snowstorm and went to look at it the day I saw the ad appear.

Another new member to the club!

Just drove from Georgia to Missouri to pick up a '99 DR350SE last weekend. Here's a couple of pictures the po sent me before the purchase...

It's in completely original condition with only 3500 miles. Has a few dings, most notably the shift lever has gouged the left side case in a spill. Carb will need a good cleaning since it's only had 300 miles added in the 4 years the po owned it. I've already got the jx needle, 137.5 and 140 main jets, and adjuster screw from Jesse. Will probably go with a Twin Air filter. Looking for a pipe now.

I'll need new tires soon. What's the largest rear that will fit? I love the Metzeler Karoo on my DR650, but it only comes in a 140 and I'm worried that will be too wide for the 350.

More to come soon!

I just finished the fork upgrade (well mostly) to my DR350 I used USD forks from a 92 RM125. I took a quick ride today and they are much better than stock. I'll check them out in the rough stuff when the temp get's into the 30's, right now it's only 20 Note the ice on the lake.

Yes I know the brake disc looks like crap. I'll clean it up or get a new one. RMX swingarm and revalving the rear shock are next.

Great looking bikes all around.

Oh, be sure to put the fork guards on those inverted forks right away or you'll have dinged sliders in no time. The stock, plastic RM guards would do just fine

I added heated grips, handguards and wiring for my heated vest yesterday. Used it all for ~1.5hrs today and it seemed to have no issue running the extra accessories:)

Thanks for that comment, with march coming near I am starting to think about the bike(94dr350s) again. The plan is to add heated grips and run the gps off the battery. Good to hear it can handle it.

This is my 1997 DR350SE that I just bought this past summer. It only had 2000 miles on it when I got it. The paint on the foot pegs wasnt even scratched yet! Pretty much stock except for the handle bars , hand guards and supertrapp muffler.

Just FYI I commuted on mine (the 94 250SE) for a week (~80-100 miles a day) in sub-freezing temps. I had my heated vest and grips on the whole time. Didn't have any charging issues at all

I ran 16/41 gearing and found that it cruised comfortably without much strain or vibration up to 70mph (about 6k rpm), after that things would get a little buzzy.

have fun

Question Sm?

Hey Pookiebear,
Is that an SV650 wheel on your SM? Or what? Been thiniking of doing it that way instead of lacing wheels. Details? Would be awesome.
thanks
