You'd be amazed how many "someone's daughters" would actually ride on the back of that thing. The bungee cord keeps her from bouncing off.

There's a bracket available to mount a passenger seat (same as the front seat) on the luggage rack.. or people just put a pillion seat on top of the luggage rack.. or replace the whole luggage rack with a passenger seat..

No need to bring every accessory on each ride...or ?
A gps, panniers, offroad gear etc etc is not needed when riding to the local café :):):)

I like the 'sloper' Panther..

Toxic Old skool ???.....or....???

Well, every once in a while, something will occur to remind me why it can still
be interesting to live in NYC! Mind you, this kind of thing is more the
exception than the rule.......but, anyway, here's the deal:

Last Sunday I was contacted by a good buddy who told me that he was bringing his Vincent Rapide to Williamsburg, Brooklyn for a photo shoot.

Apparently, an Italian clothing-line was shooting some pics of models with
vintage motorcycles in front of an old bike repair shop that has been there
for many years. I decided to ride over on my 1946 Indian Chief just to say
hello, and check out the scene...............

Wouldn't you know it, it was only a matter of time before the lead photographer(who kept staring at my bike), sauntered over to ask me what
it would cost him to get the chief into the shoot!

Wow, you mean I can get paid for taking a nice Sunday ride & hanging out
with a friend ?? I think I like this fashion thing after all!

So, with a little advice from my buddy, I came up with my price. The assistant to the photographer peels off some large, fresh greenbacks from
a HUGE roll of cash that appears from his pocket(I guess the Euro is doing
quite nicely vs. the dollar), and the deal is done.

Here are some incidental pics: keep in mind that these aren't the actual
fashion shots, but some that my friend took while the "real photographers"
were setting-up their shots.

OK .......that's about as good as my bike has ever looked!!

Here is an amusing photo of the "boys" ......"repairing" my buddy's perfect
Vincent Rapide with a Mag wheel! One with shaft drive, no less ! Gotta
love this stuff

All in all, a pretty great NYC sort of day !! I knew that my obsession with
old bikes would pay-off eventually!!

Felt just a (little) bad that my Indian was chosen over my buddy's Vincent
for the young lass to sit on for the Italian mag pics!! What can I say ??

You sly old dog. You always get the babes. Your bike may be a chick magnet, but you know how to keep the beauties coming back.

Of course this one's just a visitor, but she doesn't detract from the graceful, classic lines of your bike.

You are absolutely correct. 35 years of age is considered a antique,But as this is my thread and this is the 30th anniversary of Mr.Hailwood's winning the Isle of Man Formula 1 I'm going to make an exception.

In 1978 Mike made his famous 'Come-Back' to the Isle of Man. Mike won the Formula 1 race on th Sports Motorcycle's Ducati and truly stamped his mark on the world of motorcycle racing as 'The Best That Ever Lived'.

Ride on Mike the bike ride on.

I've wanted one of those since 1965 when I rode past one every day throwing my paper-route. There was an R69/2 as well, but I wanted the R26 as a 5th grader - I thought the single cylinder looked cool/funky standing up like that.
