So, you want to restore an old motorsickle, ehh? Well-

"Life is like a box of chocolates....

ya never know what you're gonna get."

I would love to own an old bike like this for riding on the street.

I'm sure it has happend alot more than we all care to know about. Alot of history hauled off to the land-fill. "Poof" and it is gone forever!

Don't forget the war effort scrap-drives that took away some of the older
beauties!

The 1922 Henderson DeLuxe that I'm trying to slowly cobble together, will
be a collection of rusty original pieces that somehow survived the Great
Depression (must have been quite an urge to score some greenbacks with
broken down and unused motorcycle parts!) and WWII !!

Somehow, these bits managed to stay squirreled away in dank basements
or backyard sheds and barns.....perhaps even stuffed into musty attics !

Here's a 4 year-old crummy pic of my Henderson project...........I've since
sourced original tank and fenders!

Guess: someone trying to sell a bike using pictures from the first post in this thread. Not uncommon. I had someone use pics from my web pages to advertise their bike (assuming there really was a bike) for sale on ebay, too.

I've also had someone grab images to put on tee shirts advertised on ebay.

Dammit Curvy. You wrote "See the first page of this thread."
So I did and started looking at all the bikes all over again and now two hours has gone by and I had stuff I wanted to get done and now it's too late to start and it's all your fault!
dammit!

Sorry guys. It was for sale this morning. I bid on it. It looks like Ebay pulled the listing for some reason. Sorry for the confusion. The sale was legit,I know the seller.

Hey......the V-Twin warehouse motorcycle collection!

Is it something we said?
Please don't leave us in the lurch.

I'm one of those people that was reading and truely enjoying your input
on this thread!

Perhaps if you unloaded some of the enormous burden of owning all of that rusty iron, on me,
You could stop having bad dreams?

But seriously: Thanks for sharing all of that great stuff !!

GatorJane you're exactly right. We don't ever really own this stuff, in many cases the opposite is true. Long after we're all gone this stuff will still litter the earth thereby magnetizing the next generation who derive their worth as human beings by the quantity and value of the "stuff". I've been there too so this is more of an observation than a condemnation.

That said, thanks for effort you've put into this thread, I have really been enjoying your tales of unearthing treasures, even if I old V-Twins aren't my thing
