Russell Day-Long Seat for F650GS

Does anybody out there have a Russell Day-Long seat for their F650GS 2005 or newer? Curious about how you like it, what you paid, etc.

If you ride your 650GS off road and you want to slide back and forth to shift your weight on the saddle, you really don't want a Russell because the "wings" will get in the way of sliding back and forth, even though the Russell is the best damn saddle I've ever had.. 12 to 14 hours on the bike? No problem.. truly, it's a Day Long saddle!

If your riding style doesn't include shifting your weight and sliding back and forth when riding off road, then go for it! From the Russell site: www.day-long.com

I have a Russell on my Nighthawk 750. Not worth the $700 bucks (for vinyl!) I spent on it.
The backrest has a million things wrong with it, and I had to send it back twice for broken parts (at $35 in shipping each time, not reimbursed, of course, and 3 weeks without a bike each time).
I think a $300 Corbin might be a better value, but only if it's returnable if it sucks.
And at $700, Russells ain't waterproof, so be ready to run outside with a garbage bag when it starts raining. A cover is an extra $40, but it won't fit a Nighthawk if you have the passenger backrest, so you'll have to make your own cover or use a garbage bag.
This is the best money can buy? I think not.

Russell is tops

Can't say about the GS but I had a Russell on my BMW R80/7. It was recommended by the Ironbutt riders in the local club. Ordered one and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. Pricy (500 for mine at the time) but you get what you pay for.
