I was at a gas station on the way home with it and 3 people thought it was brand new! Price? $1,700. The ONLY thing it needs is a new set of tires as she rode it strictly on the highway and evidently a little but under on tire pressure. Figure savings against retail, savings against taxes,, and not having to pay any stupid 'setup fee's (which are reimbursed by the manufacturer anyhow hence many places not charging them), we came away with a fantastic deal! There are a few others out there like that to be had.
Yeah, got my girlfriends 05 with exactly 589 miles on it for 2800. Turned into kind of a mess as the 2 years it was on the road it was treated horribly by the original owner. I've nursed it back to life though and the thing runs like a peach now. All those simple mods do wonders for this little guy.

From CraigsList I thought I had a used 2006 that was bought new in 2/06. He had an extended warrant to 2011 & some riding gear (that I don't need). Bike only had 150 miles on it. He wanted too much for it, $4000. The Kelly Blue Book & NADA Book show the retail is only between $3308 & $3380 for used 2006. I was going to offer him $3400 & maybe split what he paid for extended warranty (what do they cost) since it was transferable, he could keep he riding gear. Well I called him this morning & he said he was going to keep the bike. Maybe he will actually start to ride it now!
There is also a used 2006 with 2000 street mile at a dealership near by & they want $3350 for it, supposed to be in immaculate shape. Not a lot of used XT225s for sale in my area. I'll see what I can get a new one for & if that doesn't work out I'll try to work a deal on the used one. Some how I'm going to get an XT225 Serow.

where to find xt's for sale.

When I was looking for XT225's, I had good luck with:
a) Cycletrader.com - there was a WI and NE dealer blowing out '06 XT's for around $3,500.
b) Also, check out the classifieds section of xt225.com's bulletin board.

I lucked out and found one locally for sale, at a good price.

[quote=Splatman]To add pictures to your posts.. First take your pics..

Then upload pics into your computer.. Next upload the pics to a " image host "..

I use " Photobucket ".. It's free.. You need to "Sign Up" and open an account..

Once you have your account "Click Login".. Then "Upload Your Images"..

Next "Cut the Img Code" and "Paste the Img Code" within your post..

Yeah I have a different online photobucket type thinging at webshots but their photo linking directions are obviously designed for someone with at least an elementary school education and way beyond me. I think I managed once to post a photo about the size of a stamp and gawd only knows how I managed to post my little avatat pic that you just posssibly maybe might be able to make out with a high powered telescope :)

Thanks a ton. Though I'm not using your method I did just figure how to post one simple pic. Here's the only one small enough I have to upload...

You should be ashamed of yourself.
