I have a Seat Concepts on my XT225, in fact it's the first one they made and it's pictured on their website. Yeah, I'm pretty big stuff

Great seat. I also bought one recently for my V Strom, it's very good too although a bitch to install with all the contours.

Harbor Freight and Home Depot both sell welding rod tubes which are essentially the same thing as the tractor tool tube. Harbor Freight gets $5 for theirs.

It's orange, but a few passes with a Fusion plastic paint rattle can gets you black (or any other color you may desire). I've had mine on for over a year in all sorts of conditions, and the paint stayed on fine.

Really. I'm surprised I've missed that. I get most of my stuff from HF. Thanks.

Has Anybody bought plastics from bikebandit or similar sites?

I am needing a BLACK front fender and headlight cowling for my 05 XT225. The prices are reasonable on a few of the parts sites but they don't say what color the plastics come... Was the 05 only available in black? If there are no color options - what color is it?

I would rather find used than have to try and spray bomb brand new pieces. I'm not sure my wife will go for the two tone look (its her bike)

Anybody know how to find Black?

If you are buying the OEM replacement part for your year bike, then it should be the same color.

You'll pay less for it at ronayers.com than at BikeBandit.

Yup, you're totally right. 6-7 dollar savings per part. Pretty much covers the shipping!

Motosport.com is still having an oem parts sale, I think it'll beat ronayers. $8 flat rate shipping and if you're over $99 free shipping too. Can combine that with non-oem parts to get the free shipping.

Not so sure about that. Wayne got me updated on R.A. just a couple pages ago. A guy needed a float.

Me:"One source for a Float, #30, $48
http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/2005-yamaha-serow-225-xt225t/o/m145376#sch297001 "

Wayne: "The same OEM float is $34.98 at Ron Ayers."

Me: "WTF?"

Motosport float. $41.83
Complete carb. $422.71
Complete carb from Ron Ayers $400.2

Yeah, Motosport.com was a few dollars higher than RonAyers.com on the fender and cowling too...

I check cheapcycleparts.com too. I think they all vary depending on the part. I usually check two or three sites and really never know where the best price will be. Sometimes BikeBandit has the best price which based on what most people say about BB is a surprise!

Probably so. For me it often comes down to the shipping cost. If they won’t ship via USPS I am screwed. UPS & FedEx shipping prices to Alaska are outrageous.
Then, some asshats won’t even ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
USPS flat rate boxes are the same price for all fifty states.
